We are pleased to announce the opening of the Activity Resource Centre (A.R.C.) located at 9 Butternut Lane, Markham. This program focuses on enrichment activities and recreation appropriate to the cognitive abilities of the clients attending. Activities include art therapy, crafts and pottery, music, sports, recreation and leisure outings, summer respite camp, pool therapy and sensory room.
Our Adult Literacy Program is designed to provide students with the skills required to become independent, informed contributing members of the community. Sample curriculum topics include: basic literacy and communication, job skills (resume building and interviews), computer skills (email, web, keyboarding), independent living preparation (banking, health & nutrition), transportation, citizenship and world events.
Please note that some programs are offered on a fee-for-service basis. Service support levels can be individually designed for the client.
